Initially, Medadept engaged with a services provider that transitioned its data management structure to Azure. When that provider decided to discontinue parts of its cloud operations in the United States, the company was left in a difficult position with the need to quickly identify a new partner to support its Azure environment.
After acting on a recommendation, the Medadept team engaged with Atmosera as a potential partner to maintain the Azure environment. Atmosera’s team of Azure experts spent the time required to gain a thorough understanding of Medadept’s current cloud needs and demonstrated the services available to provide the Medadept team with the infrastructure required for expanding business operations.
“We needed a partner with a specific Azure expertise to deliver the performance we were looking for within a complex environment. Atmosera took the time to thoroughly understand our desired outcomes, and developed a detailed plan for us. Through Atmosera, we’ve realized improved performance, better security, and increased ROI from our Azure investment.”
– Gerald Bedwell, VP of Technology, Medadept
Atmosera’s solution architects developed a complex plan to provide the desired Azure support structure inclusive of multiple layers and functions. The Atmosera team carefully determined the most effective way to preserve a mixed environment and ensure that all integration pieces were in sync, while promising maximum security across all layers. Serving the healthcare industry, HIPAA and HiTech compliance was a mandatory component of the plan, and Atmosera’s expertise in this space helped to ensure that Medadept’s environment was consistently operating within those regulatory frameworks. Atmosera was also able to implement Azure Site Recovery as a part of the service to Medadept, providing the company another integral layer of protection that could not have been achieved otherwise.
Other partners that Medadept considered did not provide the strong Azure background needed. As a Microsoft-certified Azure Expert, Atmosera was able to provide the Azure expertise expected, demonstrating optimal infrastructure options and the ability to maximize overall ROI.
As a result of this partnership, Medadept’s data environment can provide a much more dependable service for Medadept customers. The company can now keep services running consistently, with much improved uptime. The overall security posture has been significantly strengthened, and Medadept is now taking advantage of a 15-minute RPO, and 1-hour RTO, which was not a possibility with previous data infrastructures. The returned performance benefit heavily outweighs the investment cost, and Medadept is now able to dedicate time and monetary resources to the enhancement of intellectual property.
We are excited about the performance and productivity we have been able to provide and are looking forward to a long relationship with our partners at Medadept.
